Visiting the Distillery

Where is Fort Hamilton Distillery located?

Find us at 68 34th Street, 2nd Floor, in Industry City, Brooklyn, NY 11232.

What are your tasting room hours?

Sunday–Thursday: 1 PM–8 PM. Friday–Saturday: 1 PM–10 PM. Hours may change for holidays, private functions, and special events.

Do I need a reservation to visit?

Walk-ins are welcome! For groups of more than 12 people, we appreciate a call in advance so we can prepare for your visit. Calling ahead is encouraged, not required.

Are children welcome?

Yes! Children are welcome in our tasting room and Saloon when accompanied by a parent or guardian until 7 PM. After 7 PM, regular tasting room and Saloon visits are adults-only (21+). Children are welcome at prearranged private events, including events after 7 PM, when accompanied by adults.

Are pets welcome?

Absolutely! We are pet-friendly. Pets must remain under their owner’s care and supervision throughout their visit, including on the balcony.

Can I bring outside food?

Yes! Bring takeout, food from Industry City vendors, or your favorite snacks to enjoy while drinking in the tasting room or Saloon. Birthday cakes and desserts are welcome, too.

Do you serve nonalcoholic drinks?

Yes, nonalcoholic beverage options are available.

Can we play pool and darts?

Our Saloon has two pool tables and dartboards, subject to room use and private events. Children under 12 may not use them; children 12 and older must be supervised by an adult.

Is there an elevator?

Yes. Enter at 68 34th Street and take the elevator to the second floor to reach Fort Hamilton Distillery.

Where can I park?

Paid parking is available on 3rd Avenue beneath the BQE and in an Industry City parking lot. Free street parking is available on 2nd Avenue, subject to space and posted parking regulations.

Tours and Experiences

Do you offer distillery tours?

Yes! Our guided tours introduce you to the history, craft, and production of Fort Hamilton spirits. Visit www.forthamilton.com/bookatour to view current experiences and purchase tickets.

Can children join a distillery tour?

Yes. Guests under 21 may join with purchase of an Under 21 ticket. Alcoholic tastings are for guests 21 and older only.

Do I need to book a tour in advance?

We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred date and time.

Do you offer group or private tours?

Yes! Contact us to discuss private tours, group tastings, and corporate experiences.

Cocktails and Entertainment

What drinks do you serve?

Our cocktail menu features classic and seasonal drinks showcasing Fort Hamilton rye whiskey, bourbon, gin, and vodka, along with nonalcoholic options.

Do you host live music or other events?

Can I come with friends without booking a private party?

Of course. Groups are welcome as space permits; for more than 12 guests, we appreciate an advance call.

Private Events and Celebrations

Can I host a private party at Fort Hamilton?

Yes! We host birthdays, holiday parties, team outings, corporate gatherings, baby showers, and other celebrations. Ask about the Tasting Room, Saloon, Lounge, Balcony, and full-distillery options.

Can I bring catering or food for a private event?

Yes! Outside catering is welcome. Food may be arranged on designated bar tops. Hosts are responsible for setup, serving supplies, and removing their personal items. Food-warming equipment requires advance approval.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

No. All alcoholic beverages served at Fort Hamilton must be purchased through the distillery.

Can children attend private events after 7 PM?

Yes. The adults-only rule for regular visits after 7 PM does not apply to prearranged private events. Children must be accompanied by adults.

How much does a private event cost?

Pricing depends on the room, day, time, and event needs. Request the latest private events package for minimum spends and booking options.

What deposit is required?

A 50% deposit and signed event agreement are required to secure a private event booking. The remaining guaranteed balance is due three calendar days before the event.

What is your cancellation policy?

21 or more days before the event: the deposit is nonrefundable but may be transferred once to an available date within six months of the original date. Four to 20 days before: the deposit is forfeited, but no additional minimum spend is due. Three days or fewer before: the full contracted event minimum or package amount is due, with the deposit credited toward it. For severe weather or emergencies, management may consider a credit at its discretion.

Can I extend my private event?

Additional time may be available with advance approval, subject to scheduling and staffing, and may incur additional charges. Your event agreement will specify applicable rates.
